Amy Osatinski (Associate Instructor) Drama & Vocal
Amy has been involved in theatre since she was very young. Her first role was as the Baker’s Wife in Stone Soup where she wowed her audience, young and old, with one line: “Stone Soup, the best soup in the land!” Since then, she has been involved in many aspects of theatre both on stage and off. After High School, She spent a year at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, as a Vocal Performance Major before returning to Denver and graduating with a BA in theatre from the University of Denver. While studying at DU, she studied abroad in Oxford England with the British American Drama Academy where she was fortunate enough to work with some of Britain’s finest actors and theatre professionals including Sir Ben Kingsley, John Barton, and Alan Rickman. After College, She moved to Minneapolis, MN to pursue a career in acting. Though she experienced success in the twin cities, she missed home and was tired of jumping from job to job in order to pay the bills (unfortunately, actors are not well paid). She returned to Denver, again, and received her teaching certification in Secondary English and Drama as well as a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado Denver. Some of her favorite roles include: Lucy in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Mephistopheles in Dr. Faustus, The Player in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and Tzitel in Fiddler on the Roof. Currently, she acts and works behind the scenes in community theatre productions around Denver in addition to running the Drama program at Heritage High School in Littleton.
